Is it difficult to assemble?

Nope! The Out of Sight Litter Box is designed for easy assembly. Follow the easy step-by-step photo instructions. If you have assembled furniture before, you might be done in just over 30 minutes. All you will need is a Phillips screwdriver, a small hammer, and maybe a pat with your fist.

What is it made out of?

The cabinet panels are 5/8 inch thick high grade melamine with moisture-resistant edges. Unlike cheaper alternative cabinets, our panels are fully edge-banded including our back panel, so it looks as good as the front and sides. This allows the cabinet to be free standing, it can be anywhere in a
room. The front, and back panels have also been designed to allow air flow and light into the cabinet area.

Will my cat(s) find the litter box?

Absolutely. We recommend your old litter pan be incrementally moved towards where your new Out of Sight Litter Box® will be located. Also, we recommend placing some used litter into the new waxed litter box, your cat’s nose will know they have “been there, done that”. Open the top lid and lovingly place your cat onto the litter and slowly close the top lid. Your cat will sniff around, then find its way out of the cabinet. That’s it. Most cats figure it out on their own.

Will my cat fit inside the cabinet?

The Out of Sight Litter Box® floor level entrance is 9 x 12 inches, the opening up to the shelf is 9 x 9 inches. Cats up to 22 pounds can comfortably use the cabinet. (Maine Coons and Norwegian Siberian Forest Cats may not.) An important measurement is “head room” within any cabinet, the Out of Sight Litter Box® offers a full 18 inches while sitting in the litter box. You won’t find that with cheaper cabinets! Plus, by design it keeps curious dogs and kids out!

What is TraxTurf™ ?

TraxTurf™ is a soft grass like mat incorporated (patented) in two locations of the Out of Sight Litter Box® to remove kitty litter from your cat’s paws. TraxTurf™ traps and holds litter that would otherwise be tracked throughout your home. You will be samaized when you pick up the TraxTurf™ mat and recycle all the collected litter back into the litter box. TraxTurf™ will last for years of daily use. Wax saturated cardboard does NOT absorb ammonia ordor like plastic pans do.

Will my litter pan work?

No need! Included with the Out of Sight Litter Box® cabinet system are TWO High-Sider™ wax saturated cardboard litter boxes designed to fit perfectly. 15 inches tall, no kitty is going to “miss” over the top of this litter box! Each included litter box lasts up to six months.

How about daily maintenance?

The Out of Sight Litter Box® has been designed to make daily cleaning easy on you with its lift top lid. Walk up, scoop and walk away. It only takes a minute in the morning and again in the evening. No more sweeping or vacuuming. The litter collected by the TraxTurf™ mats will need to be recycled back into the litter box monthly.

Can kittens use the Out of Sight Litter Box®?

Once your kitten can hop onto a couch, they are ready to use the Out of Sight LItter Box®.

What if my cat won’t use it?

Cats learn to use the cabinet quickly. Not to worry. Follow the easy to follow included hints on the Assembly Instruction sheets and you cat(s) and you will be happy. Being a patent cat parent always helps. You can always follow our return policy. I would not be concerned.

Is it wheelchair accessible?

YES! The raised shelf design inside the cabinet makes scooping the litter box easy if seated in a wheelchair. The Out of Sight LItter Box cabinet system is the only wheelchair accessible litter box.

All our panel edges are “edge banded” to help seal them from moisture absorption. The back panel is made from the same melamine and makes the back look as good as the front. This allows the cabinet to be free standing, it can be placed anywhere in a room. Our Wax saturated cardboard does not absorb ammonia odor as plastic pans do. Canceled Orders

If a customer places an order, then cancels it before it is shipped there will be a $25.00 deduction from refund to cover the Merchant Processing Fee that the manufacturer has already been charged and to cover the Refund Fee the manufacturer will be charged. If already shipped, a 25% fee and shipping costs apply.

If you or your cat is not completely satisfied with your Out of Sight Litter Box® you may return it after receipt for a refund of the purchase price less a 20% return fee. Returns are donated to local no-kill shelters. Return request contact must be made before 30 days from delivery date, you will get a Return Authorization Number (RA#) during that contact. You will be emailed a Stacking/Repackaging Page. Use lots of 2 inch wide packaging tape to hold the box top and bottom together.

All product items must be returned in their “original” condition. By “original” we understand that the cardboard shipping box will be opened, the hardware pack will be opened, and that pilot holes will have been used during assembly, “original” means no modification or damage to panels. If your cat(s) “missed” inside the cabinet we strongly suggest that you clean up that “miss” as soon as possible. We require the original engineered shipping box and packaging to be used to protect the panels from damage during return shipping. Also, please return the instructions.

PLEASE, make sure the cabinet panels are clean! Returned products that are soiled will result in an additional $50 cleaning charge deducted from your refund. Cost of return shipping, including insurance, is the responsibility of the customer. We recommend using FedEx, they have lower rates and handle packages with more care. Your return shipping cost may be at least $95 on the East Coast to over $120 or more on the West Coast. FYI: FedEx and UPS “Store Fronts” add a handling fee to the shipping cost. It is better to find a direct drop off location.

Products returned without shipping prepaid and or without a Return Authorization Number (RA#) will be charged a 25% return fee and the total both way shipping costs deducted from customer refund.

Used High-SiderTM Litter Boxes are not returnable and non-refundable.

Refused At Delivery
Placed orders that are refused at delivery will be charged a 25% return fee and the shipping costs will also be deducted from your refund.

You may find a few pieces of rogue litter here or there, but you will notice a substantial difference that you too might use the word “Stopped” while telling your friends how the Out of Sight Litter Box® changed your litter tracking issues.

Warranty

The Out of Sight Litter Box® cabinet systems are warranted to the original purchaser at the time of purchase and for one year after the purchase date. Wood Chip, LLC warrants to you, the original purchaser, that the cabinet and all cabinet parts and components are free of defects in material or workmanship and reflect or exceed acceptable industry standards. The word “defects” as used in this warranty is defined as any imperfections which impair the use of the cabinet system. This warranty is expressly limited to the replacement or repair of cabinet panels, parts and components. This warranty applies under conditions of normal use. This
warranty does not cover defects caused by improper assembly or dis-assembly, defects occurring after purchase due to intentional damage, product modifications, exposure to the elements, accidents, misuse, urine, abuse or negligence, labor or assembly costs. All implied warranties, including the warranty of merchantability shall not extend beyond the duration of the written warranty stated above.

Liability

Wood Chip, LLC’s liability is expressly limited to the cost of material for repair or replacement of defective goods and in no event will Wood Chip, LLC be liable for incidental or consequential damages or injury resulting from the use of the product, or any injury during assembly. Some States do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty may last or the exclusions or limitations of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations and exclusions may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific rights, which vary from State to State.

Arbitration

Any controversy or claim arising out of or relating to this contract, or the breach thereof, shall be settled by arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Commercial Arbitration Rules, and judgment on the award rendered by the arbitrator(s) may be entered in any court having jurisdiction thereof.

Dispute Resolution

You agree that the laws of the State of Missouri, U.S.A., excluding its conflict of laws rules, shall exclusively govern any dispute relating to this Agreement and/or the Services. We both agree that all of these claims can only be litigated in the federal or state courts of St. Louis County, Missouri, USA, and we each agree to personal jurisdiction in those courts.

Editing, Deleting & Modification

We reserve the right in our sole discretion to edit or delete any documents, information or other content appearing on the Site. We reserve the right in our sole discretion to make slight modifications to our product in the best interest to our customers and company. Product specifications subject to change without notice.
